Sue Wilkerson
Broker/Owner, Terra Venture Real Estate
Sue graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in agriculture, which set the tone for the rest of her life: hands-on. She and her ex-husband ran an agricultural trucking company for ten years in California in the historic town of Woodland, outside Sacramento.
Sue started with Coldwell Banker in 1999, and launched her brokerage, Terra Venture Real Estate, in 2002. Sue began her personal crusade to renovate Ogden in December 2003 by committing to build a historic-style home on Jefferson Avenue. The four-square home won the 2004 Parade of Homes, due to its historic, unique appeal. In addition, Sue was appointed to the Ogden City Landmarks Commission in 2005, and became Chair in July 2006. She remains active in all Ogden City issues, even today.
Sue believes so strongly in renovation of Ogden, in May 2006 she purchased the Heber Scowcroft Mansion at 24th & Monroe and moved her entire office from Historic 25th Street. Repainting of the outside was completed and the inside is perfectly restored. The mansion is a National, State and Local Landmark and Sue treasures the building’s history. In addition, Sue owns seven additional historic properties within the boundaries of the Trolley District.
Sue’s passion is selling real estate, all types. With a strong, practical commercial background, her approach to buying and selling is that it can be fun and trouble-free for the clients. She loves residential housing that is historic and unique, and is a huge proponent of fully leasing
out Historic 25th Street and other historic buildings within the downtown core.
In addition to work, Sue’s commitment to the Junior League of Ogden continues this year with her position of Membership VP. The League’s contributions range from the ongoing Children’s Health Connection and Women’s
Health Connection, to the Oasis Community Garden, an inner-city 1.7 acre garden in the heart of Ogden.
She also stays active in the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce, the Spikers, Women in Business, Director of Northern Wasatch Board of Realtors, Jefferson Avenue Neighborhood Watch, Weber Heritage Foundation, Zeta Tau Alpha, Ogden City politics, the Red Cross and of course, the Trolley District.
