Legacy House of Park Lane Residents Take the Leap with “No Regrets Club” Skydiving Adventure

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah | May 21, 2026

Three adventurous residents from Legacy House of Park Lane, Farmington’s premier senior living community, are proving that age, challenges and life transitions are no match for courage and a sense of adventure as they prepare to go skydiving through the community’s inspiring No Regrets Club initiative.

The jump is scheduled for May 22, 10 a.m. at Skydive Utah, 4647 N Airport Rd, Erda, UT 84074, with media invited to attend and capture the unforgettable experience.

The No Regrets Club was created at Legacy House of Park Lane to help residents pursue dreams, conquer fears and embrace meaningful experiences they may have once thought impossible. Residents are invited to share goals and bucket-list dreams, and the team works to bring them to life through Legacy’s commitment to confidence-inspiring abundant living.

For resident Wanda Harker, the experience represents strength, healing and stepping far beyond her comfort zone.

“Because I’m not getting any younger and I just need a challenge,” Wanda shared. “This is way out of my comfort zone.”

Born in 1942, Wanda raised nine boys as a homemaker and spent much of her life in Farmington after originally coming from Idaho Falls. Known throughout the community for her enthusiasm and willingness to try new things, Wanda says the experience has given her something exciting to focus on during a difficult season as her husband recently transitioned into memory care.

Also taking the leap is Corey Ponder, a 47-year-old resident originally from Knoxville, Tennessee. Born in Iceland while his parents served in the Navy, Corey has lived with Cerebral Palsy throughout his life and has never allowed it to limit his adventurous spirit.

“I like to live life on the edge and I don’t get to do that as much anymore,” Corey said. “When this opportunity came up, I thought, why not?”

A geography graduate and passionate history buff, Corey has called Legacy House of Park Lane home for the past four years and is eager to embrace the thrill of the experience.

Joining Wanda and Corey is Dave Cox, a Wyoming native and retired electrician. Dave has lived with Parkinson’s disease for more than 30 years but says that has only strengthened his determination to keep seeking adventure.

“I’ve never done it. Sounds like a blast,” Dave shared. “I’m a thrill seeker and I’ve had Parkinson’s for 30 years, so I’ve had to adjust my thrill seeking. I’m so proud to go with Corey!”

The No Regrets Club reflects Legacy House of Park Lane’s commitment to helping residents continue living purposeful, joy-filled lives regardless of age or circumstance.

“At Legacy House of Park Lane, we believe life should continue to be filled with excitement, growth and meaningful experiences,” said Shauna Chavez, executive director. “The No Regrets Club is about helping residents pursue dreams they may have put on hold and reminding them that it’s never too late to do something extraordinary.”
