The Workforce Committee, comprised of business, government and education entities, enhances a vibrant economy by understanding workforce needs and aligning resources to meet business demands.
We achieve this mission through:
1. Accredited HR Employee Seminars
Employer seminars are approved for HRCI and SHRM credits, which apply towards professional development certification. Employer seminars are held two times annually to address current needs of human resource professionals. Check out our event calendar for upcoming seminars.
2. HR Tools and Resources
The committee helps businesses find and connect with important HR resources including associations, hiring solutions, research data and more. In particular, the committee works to address the hiring needs of all types of businesses throughout the community.
3. Workforce Legislation
The Workforce Committee works closely with the Legislative Affairs Committee to identify and address pertinent legislative issues. The committee creates and supports legislation that addresses the needs of both employers and employees.
Meeting Dates, Time and Location
The Workforce committee meets monthly on the fourth Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. in the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce boardroom.
