Flight days at the Ogden Airport continue to feel like live guest‑experience research — full of questions, curiosity, and genuine excitement about the new terminal and amenities. Today was especially big.
Our social media post of the aircraft landing and departing has already reached 3,201 views, and that number will keep climbing throughout the day and week as travelers share their experiences.
Today marked the first day our new baggage carousel was fully operational, and guests were thrilled to be part of the milestone. Everything ran smoothly, and the horse sculpture has officially become a signature moment in the arrival experience. Before the bags even appeared, a guest visiting from California was already taking photos and video of it.
Two perfect bookend moments defined the carousel’s debut:
- The first bag belonged to a family of ten from Ogden, returning from a Disneyland trip — a hometown family flying home through their hometown airport.
- The last bag belonged to a skier from California, here to ski Powder Mountain and Snowbasin, showing the reach and appeal of our region.
💬 What passengers said today
- “With the amount of people in there and how fast they departed, I would always use this place instead of Salt Lake.”
- “This is different — you are all grown up.” (said while admiring the new terminal)
Hertz was on‑site installing their new lockbox and shared that they expect to have all nine rental cars in the parking lot next week, adding even more convenience for arriving guests.
