Ogden, UT — Ogden City Arts and Union Station are excited to announce a new open call for entries for the Community Art Show: Food. Local artists are encouraged to submit their work for consideration by Monday, March 2, 2026, at 4 p.m. Each artist may submit one original piece created within the past two years. Food Artwork may reflect the powerful emotions connected to food traditions passed down, memories shared, and the comfort food brings. It may examine the journey of food from raw ingredients and family recipes to preparation and presentation, while also honoring those who grow, gather, and create it, from farmers and foragers to chefs de cuisine and beyond.
Union Station, a cornerstone of historic 25th Street in downtown Ogden, features two art galleries and permanent exhibitions of antique automobiles, Browning firearms, railroad artifacts, and locomotives. The Community Art Show, hosted in partnership with Ogden City Arts, offers a unique opportunity for Utah artists to display their work in this dynamic and historically rich setting.
“We know most people try to avoid thinking of food in the new year,” said Danielle Bendinelli, Community Art Show Coordinator, “but we hope this theme will inspire individuals to cook up some delicious ideas. From seasoned artists to fun family style projects, this program is open to all ages and skill levels, so we are hoping to see a great buffet of creativity!”
There is no entry fee to submit artwork. Artists whose pieces are selected for special recognition will receive an honorarium. The exhibition will open to the public on Friday, March 20, 2026, and will run through Friday, May 1, 2026.
