Bechtel Gives Back: $30,000 Awarded to Northern Utah Nonprofits!

Bechtel is making a big impact in our community! Through their employee led Community Investment advisory Committee (CIAC) they awarded $30,000 in Community Commitment Grants to nine local nonprofit organizations serving Northern Utah counties. Five of these nonprofits are Ogden-Weber Chamber members!

We love seeing our Chamber members supporting one another, especially when that support strengthens the nonprofit organizations doing incredible work throughout our community! Our President and CEO, Chuck Leonhardt, attended last week’s award ceremony and was impressed by the way Bechtel celebrated and recognized these nonprofits. They chose some great organizations to support!

Congratulations to the 2026 Grant Recipients:

  • Free Community Meal
  • Ogden Contemporary Arts
  • Suzy’s Senior Companionship Services
  • Homeless Veterans Fellowship
  • Ogden Nature Center
  • Catholic Community Services food program
  • Ogden School Foundation
  • Hope Hero Foundation
  • Wolf Creek Foundation

What makes this initiative even more meaningful is that it’s employee led! Bechtel empowers its employees to give back by connecting them with local nonprofits, creating opportunities to make a meaningful impact where they live and work. It’s a powerful example of how businesses and employees can work together to make a meaningful impact. Stronger together!

Are you part of a nonprofit organization who serves northern Utah? Keep your eye out next summer for Bechtel’s CIAC 2027 Community Commitment Grant opportunities. In previous years, nonprofits have been encouraged to email UtahGrantApp@bechtel.us for application instructions and required forms. We will keep you in the loop as they release details for next year!
