Ogden Friends of Acoustic Music drops its complete lineup of award-winning artists for this year’s Ogden Music Festival taking place May 30 to June 1, at the historic Fort Buenaventura.
Ogden Friends of Acoustic Music (OFOAM) is excited to announce its full lineup for the 17th annual Ogden Music Festival, May 30 through June 1, at Weber County’s beautiful Fort Buenaventura in Ogden. It’s an eclectic mix of well-known and up-and-coming artists to Utah representing the best of American Roots music.
This year’s lineup includes Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives, Cimafunk, John Craigie with The Coffis Brothers, Pokey LaFarge, AJ Lee & Blue Summit, Sister Sadie, New Dangerfield, East Nash Grass, Margo Cilker, The Fretless, Lone Piñon, Hot House West Swing Orchestra, Primera Linea, Mariachi Fuego, and Theoretical Blonde. “Tweeners,” local artists that play between the main acts, will be announced soon.
“I’m so excited for this multi-genre artist line-up,” says OFOAM Executive Director Michelle Tanner, “from legendary Country Music Hall of Famer Marty Stuart to Afro-Cuban funk fusion artist Cimafunk, amazing songwriters John Craigie and Margo Cilker to youth performers Mariachi Fuego and Primera Linea…plus four hot rising bluegrass acts!”
The three-day family-friendly festival has camping on-site, a jam camp with opportunities to jam with the mainstage artists, workshops led by mainstage artists, kids activities, and more.
“We have a fantastic team of leaders and volunteers to pull off a great event,” Tanner said.
Founded by Michelle Tanner in 2008, joined by co-director Reba Nissen in 2009, OFOAM is a locally-based, volunteer-run nonprofit organization that nurtures the next generation of young artists at the Ogden Music Festival with its Instrument Petting Zoo, showcasing youth on its stages, and offering the year-round WILL & WAY (Weber Instrument Lending Library for Weber Acoustic Youth) with access to instruments and free music lessons. The festival also includes a Kids’ Zone and Kids’ Parade.
