Q: What is Larry H. Miller doing that you are most excited about?
A: The Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram brands all have some exciting product coming out in the next six months. We will have an all new Ram truck and Jeep Wrangler in the next few months. It is also exciting to see the performance models coming on line. The Hellcat engine that we have had in the Challenger and Charger will be expanded to the Jeep Grand Cherokee and we will have a SRT engine in the Dodge Durango.
Q: How is the auto industry changing and how is Larry H. Miller reacting?
A: I have been working in the auto industry for over 30 years. Evolving into what we are today has been spectacular to watch and the future is equally exciting. As a group, we’re focused on providing an excellent experience for our customers, and our practices are always evolving to ensure we’re meeting customer demand and providing a more efficient car-buying process. Our service department are equally challenged to make repairs quicker and at the same time easier for the customer.
Q: What is the company’s biggest challenge and how are you addressing it?
A: We have been operating in Weber and Davis County for almost eight years now. The auto industry is healthy and continues to grow. There is a lot of opportunity within a dealership and multiple paths for growth. Finding and retaining high quality employees can be a challenge, especially on the technician side which requires a unique set of skills. We offer great benefits, growth from within and provide industry-leading training to our employees.
Q: What are some of the ways Larry H. Miller engages with the Ogden-Weber community?
A: The Larry H. Miller Group company mission is to enrich lives, and one of our guiding principles is to “Go about doing good until there’s too much good in the world.”
At our dealership, our slogan is Live here…Work here….Buy here…. We try and back this up by involving ourselves in the community. You will see us at high school events, Weber State Athletic events, Boys and Girls Club activities, serving with Catholic Community Services, etc.. I am proud of the number of employees who have volunteered with the “Read Today” program in the elementary schools. Giving back has always been a guiding principle and a vital part of our organization.
Q: What is something people might be surprised to learn about Larry H. Miller?
A: I am surprised every day to learn of the philanthropic efforts of the Larry H. Miller Group of companies. I think it would surprise others as well.
Q: What is the vision for the future at Larry H. Miller?
A: The company has a well defined strategic plan. The mission statement involves enriching the lives of others by striving to be the best place in town to work and the best place in town to do business. The guiding principles are Integrity, hard work, stewardship and service. I love working for the company.
