Cassidy Miller Weber State University Alumni Association
Cassidy Miller Bio
Cassidy graduated from Weber State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication with an emphasis in Technical Writing. Cassidy has been employed in the marketing field for four years and has worked as the Weber State University Alumni Relations’ Alumni Marketing Coordinator for the past two years. She met and married her husband, Nathan, while they both attended WSU. When she’s not spending time with Nathan, Cassidy can be found reading historical fiction or shopping at a local thrift or consignment store.

Madison Spigel Ogden Recycling
Madison Spigel, born in Salt Lake City but raised in the Midwest, returned to Utah last year for her current role in scrap metal recycling. She is currently pursuing her MBA at the University of Utah and earned her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin. With a decade of experience in scrap metal recycling, Madison began as a scale operator and has since grown into leadership roles. She is currently opening a new metal recycling facility in Payson, UT as well as working out of the Clearfield and Ogden Recycling facilities.

Tayler Campbell United Way of Northern Utah
Tayler is a passionate leader making a lasting impact in Northern Utah. As the Events Manager for United Way of Northern Utah, she leads meaningful community projects with creativity and purpose. Tayler actively supports local initiatives through volunteerism while leveraging skills learned as an LNU and Project Blueprint graduate. She uses her strengths to give back to the community by serving on the Women Empowered committee – helping inspire professional growth through Women in Business. Tayler is honored to be a finalist for this award.

Ben Eden Reach Your Ultimate Potential
Ben Eden is honored to be recognized as a finalist for Volunteer of the Year at this year’s Chamber of Commerce Gala. As the bestselling author of “How We See Ourselves” and the creator of the Eden Model, Ben is deeply passionate about helping leaders and business owners achieve clarity, confidence, and fulfillment in their professional and personal lives. Beyond his work in leadership coaching and strategic planning, Ben is dedicated to giving back to the community through initiatives that promote growth, connection, and empowerment. Whether it’s mentoring entrepreneurs, supporting local nonprofits, or advocating for meaningful change, Ben believes in building a stronger community by investing in the success of others.

Cherie Hanson Bank of Utah
Cherie Hanson is the SVP of Marketing and Communications at Bank of Utah. In her role, she works to connect the Bank’s resources to positively impact the community she serves. She serves on the board of YCC Family Crisis Center, is a member of the Ogden-Weber Chamber Board of Governors, the Spikers, and Ogden Rotary Club. Hanson is an ambassador for Enable Utah, volunteers with The Family Promise of Ogden, and helped create a sports complex for kids in central Ogden. She is a mother of four, lives in Ogden, and is a University of Utah communications graduate.

Tina Calandra Soul Beautiful Salon
Tina Calandra has been a dedicated member of the Ogden Chamber since 2016, when she opened her thriving business. Committed to helping others, she currently serves on the Small Business Council and is an active Spiker Ambassador, celebrating and fostering connections within the community. Tina has held positions on the Chamber Executive Board and Women in Business, and former chair of the Small Business Council. Her genuine care for the community and inspiring dedication makes her a valued asset to all. With a passion for mentorship, Tina continually empowers local entrepreneurs to achieve their dreams, strengthening Ogden’s vibrant business landscape.

Chairperson of the Year nominees must be actively engaged with the Chamber and should be individuals with a passion for helping the Chamber succeed. They exceed expectations in regard to building committee membership and achieving committee objectives.

Abby Monroe Ogden Regional Medical Center
Abby is a relationship-driven leader dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and strengthening communities. With over 20 years of customer service experience and nine years in the nonprofit sector, she is passionate about helping organizations enhance their capacity and address critical community needs. Abby serves on the boards of Junior League of Ogden, Ogden-Weber Chamber Women in Business, and the Egyptian Theater Foundation, and is actively involved in A Boulder Way Forward, championing collaboration and impactful change in Weber County.

Cris Fowers Boyer
Cristopher Dale Fowers grew up in Hooper, where he currently lives with his wife, Brittany, and children, Cora and Jonas. Cris grew up working on their family farm, milking cows, raising beef cattle, and growing crops. He still values the lessons learned about being a good steward of the land.
After serving a two-year LDS mission to southern Argentina, Cris attended Weber State and earned a double major in Communications and Spanish. He also graduated from the Weber Institute of Religion.
Cris currently works for the Boyer Company at Business Depot Ogden and volunteered as a chair for Leadership Northern Utah.

Joseph Nielson Murdock Financial
Joseph Nielson is a Partner and Lead Financial Planner at Murdock Financial. He joined the firm in 2019 and became a Partner in 2021. They have a “plan first” approach to financial advice, offering flat-fee financial planning services. He has been a member of the Ogden Weber Chamber for 8 years, serving in the Contacts 1, Small Business Council, and Spikers committees. He has lived in South Ogden with his wife, Kim, for 20 years. They have one son and two dogs. For fun, he competes in Strongman contests, enjoys golfing, and rides motorcycles.
