The Workforce Committee, comprised of business, government and education entities, enhances a vibrant economy by understanding workforce needs and aligning resources to meet business demands. Specific attention is paid to employer human resources needs. We achieve this mission through:
1. Accredited HR Employee Seminars
Employer seminars are approved for HRCI and SHRM credits, which apply towards professional development certification. Employer seminars are held four times annually to address current needs of human resource professionals. Check out our event calendar for upcoming seminars.
2. HR Tools and Resources
The committee helps businesses find and connect with important HR resources including associations, hiring solutions, research and employment data, and more. In particular, the committee works to address the hiring needs of all types of businesses throughout the community.
3. Workforce Legislation
The Workforce Committee works closely with the Legislative Affairs Committee to identify and address pertinent legislative issues. The committee works to create and support legislation that addresses the needs of both employers and employees.
