Military Affairs

MAC Logo
The Military Affairs Committee is a joint committee created and run by the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce and the Davis County Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of this committee is primarily to establish a symbiotic relationship between Hill Air Force Base, businesses, and the rest of the surrounding community.

The committee is made up of more than 125 members and meets regularly to discuss current events and possible problems that military and community interaction creates. This committee also has many members of the state government to provide a broader perspective on the community of the Ogden-Weber and Davis areas.

Military Affairs Committee Patron Program

The Military Affairs Committee wants to involve the community in the appropriate military affairs whenever possible. One of the ways the committee does that is by hosting the annual “Salute to Our Nation’s Defenders” Picnic up at Hill Air Force Base, at which there are more than 3,000 attendees.

The committee also funds military programs and events, making it possible to arrange occasions that simultaneously thank the nation’s military while offering a chance for the community to get to know about military affairs.

If your business would like to donate to the Military Affairs Committee, please contact the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce today!

Becoming a Member of the Military Affairs Committee

When you become a member of the Military Affairs Committee, you be requested to attend all the meetings, which will be held on the first Monday of every month at the Davis Conference Center, though times and dates are subject to change.

Our members take part of the community interaction with the military to create a cohesive union between the two entities. If your business or position puts an emphasis on military, then you will likely be a great candidate for this committee.

There is an additional fee for being part of the Military Affairs committee. We are always looking for new members, so please find out more information about joining the Military Affairs Committee by calling the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce at (801) 621-8300!
