On behalf of the Ogden/Weber Chamber of Commerce, we welcome you and hope this resource guide gives you all the necessary information to make an easy and enjoyable transition to our community.
The Chamber works to advance the prosperity of Weber County through economic development,
tourism, business retention and expansion, workforce development and general marketing for the community.
Partnering with Weber Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), the Chamber actively seeks the addition and retention of strong companies. Each year, this work leads to the creation of thousands of jobs and millions of dollars in the local economy.
Supporting WEDC efforts are four committees: Committee of 100, Spikers, Transportation and WEDC Board of Directors. Partnering with the Ogden/Weber Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), the Chamber aggressively markets Weber County as a world-class ski destination, with plenty of other attractions to see and enjoy. During the past two years, twelve ski and outdoor recreation companies have moved their corporate, North American or regional headquarters to Weber County. Today there are more ski company labels in Ogden than in any other city in the US. This too is important work in that conventioneers and tourists leave millions of dollars in Weber County’s economy.
Supporting several community service related committees and volunteers, the Chamber strengthens relations with key community organizations and companies, and works with the state government to leverage support and resources for Weber County. The net result is a safer, cleaner, healthier and better educated community. This work is centered around four committees: Partners in Education, Leadership Northern Utah, Legislative Affairs and Military Affairs.
With all these efforts, the Chamber helps businesses grow, leading to more jobs and a stronger
economy. Welcome to the Top of Utah!
